Spend a tranquil and unforgettable night on Bay Canh Island, one of Con Dao’s most vital sea turtle nesting sites. From May to October, visitors have the rare chance to witness green turtles (Chelonia mydas) coming ashore to nest under the moonlight. Alongside this mesmerizing experience, explore the lush mangroves where “Tank Crabs” (Cardisoma canifex) prowl through the mudflats in search of prey.

Watch Sea Turtles Laying Eggs

  • 15:30 – Pick-up at the harbor

  • 16:00 – Arrive at Bay Canh Island. Enjoy snorkeling and explore the mangrove forest, home to the unique "Tank Crabs" (Cardisoma canifex)

  • 17:30 – Dinner on the island

  • 19:00 – Night walk through the mangrove to observe tank crabs hunting. Afterwards, wait quietly for the sea turtles to arrive with the high tide and witness them nesting and laying eggs.

  • 06:00 – If hatchlings are present, watch baby turtles being released into the sea

  • 07:00 – Return to the harbor – End of tour
