Phnom Penh City Tours (Half Day)

After meeting our tour guide, we will begin our exploration of Phnom Penh by visiting the stunning Royal Palace compound, constructed in 1866 by the predecessors of King Norodom. This remarkable site is one of the most recognizable features of the city, showcasing impressive Khmer-style architecture.

Adjacent to the Royal Palace is the Silver Pagoda, also known as the Emerald Buddha Temple. This sacred place displays an array of Buddha statues adorned with diamonds, emeralds, gold, and silver.

Next, we will visit the National Museum, a distinctive red building featuring beautiful Khmer architecture, built in 1917. The museum houses over 5,000 art objects made from sandstone, bronze, silver, copper, wood, and more.

Our journey continues to Wat Phnom, or "Mountain Pagoda," a Buddhist temple that lends its name to the city. Legend has it that the first pagoda on this site was built in 1372 to house four Buddha statues discovered by Lady Penh after they were deposited by the Mekong River. Wat Phnom is a popular spot for locals to enjoy leisure activities, pray for good fortune, and admire the sunset.
