Depart Hanoi around 8:00 AM for a scenic 3.5 hour drive through the lush Red River Delta and rolling hills of Thai Nguyen province. Along the way, marvel at the stunning pastoral landscapes - rows of verdant rice paddies punctuated by stilt-house villages and undulating mountains. Feel free to make stops to stretch your legs and capture some postcard-worthy photos.
Upon arrival in the charming village of Quynh Son, around noon, you'll be welcomed into a traditional stilt house for an authentic Vietnamese lunch. Savor the flavorful local cuisine as you chat with your friendly host about the customs and daily life of the Tay ethnic minority group. Take your time to fully immerse yourself in this cultural experience.
In the afternoon, embark on a leisurely stroll through the quaint village streets. Observe the unique architecture, interact with the welcoming residents, and gain deeper insight into the traditional Tay way of life.
Next, you'll be transferred to the base of the majestic Na Lay mountain. Prepare yourself for a moderate hike up to the summit, where a scenic cell phone tower overlooks the stunning valley below. The climb may be challenging, but the payoff is well worth it - panoramic vistas that will leave you in awe. Be sure to take plenty of photos to commemorate this incredible moment.
After soaking in the breathtaking views, begin your descent back down the mountain. Once you reach the base, you'll be transported back to Hanoi, arriving at your hotel around 7:00 PM, with memories of a truly immersive and picturesque day in the Vietnamese countryside.
