Begin your day by waking up early to catch the sunrise, followed by a return to the hotel for breakfast. The rest of the day will be spent exploring the ancient ruins of Angkor, including the South Gate of Angkor Thom with its impressive series of colossal human faces carved in stone, the Bayon Temple, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King, and the largest and most complete temple of Angkor Wat.
This architectural masterpiece was constructed in the 12th century and covers an area of about 210 hectares. Take a leisurely stroll around the massive edifice, admiring the many galleries with columns, libraries, pavilions, courtyards, and ponds full of water reflecting the towering temple.

Driving to Beng Lealea, a 12th century temple with a layout and style similar to Angkor Wat, visitors will find it now dominated by jungle. The towers are overgrown with trees and columns are entangled with vines. Building blocks and lintels are scattered around, requiring visitors to climb up and down as they approach the completely collapsed central towers.
This is reminiscent of how early expeditions must have found the temples of Angkor. Lunch will be provided on site before continuing on to Kompung Khleang. Here, visitors can enjoy a boat cruise on the Kompong Khleang Floating Village at Tonle Sap lake, where they can experience local rural life. Kampong Khleang is located on the northern lake-edge, approximately 48km east of Siem Reap town, and is more remote and less touristy.

Our itinerary includes a visit to the Roluos group of monuments, which consists of three temples - Bakong, Lolei, and Preah Ko. These temples are located 6.8 miles southeast of the Siem Reap market and are situated close to each other, covering an area of three kilometers east of the Great Lake. Dating back to the late ninth century, the Rouluos group is the earliest site of the 600 years Angkor Period that is accessible to tourists.
Later in the day, we will explore Psar Chars, a bustling open market also known as the "Old market," surrounded by elegant French Colonial colonnades. In the early evening, we will take a Tuk Tuk, a common small open-side taxi in Cambodia, to cruise around the suburb of Siem Reap town and participate in a blessing ceremony by Buddhist monks for happiness, prosperity, and safety during our journey.
