When it comes to electricity in Vietnam, there are two important factors to consider: plugs and voltage.
The electricity supply in Vietnam is 220 Volts at 50Hz. The most common plug types used are type A (two flat vertical pins), type C, and type F (two round pins). If your power plug has three pins, you will need an adapter, as most electrical outlets here do not have grounding holes.

However, even if your plug fits, you must also consider the electricity voltage and frequency.

You can purchase converters or adapters at electronic stores, grocery stores, or convenience stores while traveling in Vietnam. Alternatively, many hotels offer them for loan. The price for an adapter is typically around $3–4 USD.
